Review local authorities' council tax support schemes and issue guidance

I urge the Government to seriously take responsibility for helping those who are struggling on a daily basis. This can be done by reviewing whether councils are inappropriately reducing support for those who need it. The review should also consider whether councils are doing enough to encourage take up and make it easy to apply for this support, to ensure people that are in difficulty are not missing out from getting the support they desperately need.
