Increased local government funding for young people's services

What the petition asks
Since 2010 funding for children’s services across England has fallen drastically. We believe criminality and antisocial behaviour are at epidemic levels amongst young people. Better services could help young people's potential can be realised.
Increase local government grants and ring-fenced funding for young people's services such as mental health support and extra-curricular activities such as free youth and leisure centres. The Government should consult with younger people to help decide what to spend the money on. Having these opportunities might guide young people away from crime, so provide support for young people in high crime areas.
