Ban communal boilers for housing estates

What the petition asks
We want communal boilers to be banned from housing estates. We are concerned about the cost of charges for communal heating, and the reduced control this can give residents over their heating and hot water supply.
My communal heating charge has gone up from £17 a week to £47 a week. This is also included in the summer months when the heating and hot water won’t be used as much. We have also suffered from no heating and hot water for days during the coldest months of the year due to the demand of heating.
Our council chooses the temperature of our hot water supply, meaning that we don't know if it’s going to be too cold for bathing or our homes are going to be heated enough on the colder days/months.
