The Democratic Republic of Congo needs assistance from the UK government.

What the petition asks
We urge the government to support the Democratic Republic of Congo so they can combat rebels and restore their territories. We also want sanctions imposed on nations that support these rebels.
Six million people have died in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1996. The fact that this is occurring to defenceless men, women, and children should concern us as a global community and as human beings. Since the UK is one of the major consumers of Congolese minerals, it is our responsibility to make sure they are sourced ethically.
