What the petition asks
The Level 3 Diploma in Criminology plays a crucial role in preparing individuals for careers in law enforcement, criminal justice, social work, and related fields. However, recent cuts in government funding have meant that this qualification with be cut in 2025.
There is a significant and growing demand for skilled professionals in the field of criminology. Level 3 Criminology helps to address the skills shortage by preparing individuals for jobs within this sector.
As well as this, Level 3 Criminology is more accessible than an A-Level course due to the nature of it's examination process (half course work and half exam based); it provides those who struggle with exams a better opportunity of achieving academically.
