Grant TfL the funds needed to repair the Central Line in 2024.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Government should grant emergency funding to TfL to enable the repairs to the Central Line to be completed urgently, within the 2024 calendar year.
The Central Line has been reduced to an emergency service. The trains are in a state of disrepair. 200 million journeys a year are now being shared amongst 50 trains, all of which are on their last legs. The proposed central line improvement project is moving at a glacial pace. More money is needed to repair the trains quickly, within the 2024 calendar year, to enable commuters to get to work.

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
