Require a licence to own, breed or sell any dog

What the petition asks
We believe a licence should be required for any ownership, breeding or selling of any dog.
A licence is currently only required for either of the following:
- Breeding 3+ litters of puppies in 12 months and selling any of the dogs
- Running a business that breeds and advertises dogs for sale
The idea of requiring a license for any ownership, breeding, or selling of dogs aims to ensure responsible and ethical practices in dog ownership and breeding. While the current regulations focus on specific activities around breeding and selling dogs, we want the Government to bring in legislation to expand the licensing requirement to cover all dog ownership, breeding, and selling, so this is more highly regulated.
