To make Anglophobia a form of Hate Speech

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

To make Anglophobia
(from Latin Anglus "English" and Greek φόβος, phobos, "fear"), refers to opposition, dislike, fear, hatred, oppression, persecution, and discrimination of English people and/or England).

A Hate Speech and thus a criminal offence.
On the 7th day of the 7th Month the Terrorist Attack in Britain caused the largest loss of life from an act separate from War.

It's roots lay in Anglophobia. Subsequent attacks in the UK have also been based around Anglophobia along with the desecration of War Memorials and national monuments.

People are afraid that their very presence and way of life are constantly being undermined by this form of discrimination.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

A crime can already be prosecuted as a hate crime if the offence has demonstrated hostility based on race or been motivated by hostility based on race.
