Stop NRP hiding their income by looking into their business accounts

What the petition asks

Look into business finance accounts of self employed people to stop them from hiding their income and give that information to Child Maintenance Service to take the right amount for Resident Parents.
Child Maintenance Service is powered by the government. More should be done to stop people taking advantage and living in luxury while not paying for their children.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

Where a non-resident parent is suspected of concealing their true income, the CMS can ask the Financial Investigations Unit (FIU) to investigate.

The FIU is a body within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) which considers more complex cases.
