Stop the use of speed camera vans and speed traps.

What the petition asks
Removal of speed traffic cameras and speed trap vans with immediate effect.
For many years this has been an afront to drivers where punishment does not fit the supposed crime.. where speed is excessive and dangerous is one thing, but 5 or 10 miles over measured purely in areas to entrap drivers has to stop. Not only does it create financial hardship for the general public.. but to have the stress of losing one's privilege to drive is completely unfair for such small speed variations.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do - for example, if you'd like there to be no speed cameras whatsoever, or a ban on certain types of speed cameras.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
