Funding for prenatal genetic screening tests through pregnancy

What the petition asks
I would like funding so genetic testing is always offered as part of the screening tests during pregnancy.
I lost my baby son to a rare fatal disease called ‘alveolar capillary dysplasia’. There were no signs or symptoms of the disease throughout my pregnancy.
Shortly after birth, my son was transferred to a specialist hospital but he could no longer be saved.
This is a cruel disease and can only be picked up prenatally through a genetics test. I would like testing to be done to identify genetic diseases during pregnancy to prevent others going through this devastating ordeal. Having testing available as part of routine screening could enable parents to be made aware and possibly prevent this from happening.
