End the Badger Cull

What the petition asks
To debate in parliament and hopefully put an end to what we see as the disastrous and inhumane badger culls that have been in place in England for over a decade, the new proposals for which could lead to significant reduction of the species across much of the country.
The incumbent government has introduced a consultation on badger culls in our country. Opposed by many scientific groups for the over 10 years it has been in place, we believe the policy has had a disastrous impact on a crucial component of British ecosystems and our natural heritage. After saying in 2021 they would phase out this practice, the Government is now consulting on plans to allow it to continue.
