Build fewer houses/ residences in Portsmouth
Rejected

What the petition asks
Revise downwards the number of houses/ residences that the government is demanding that Portsmouth city council build within the next 15 years
Portsmouth is required to build 17701 residences over the next 15 years. This number is unrealistic and unsafe for the city.
Portsmouth is the second most densely populated city outside London, overcrowded, overpolluted and highly congested.Portsmouth is already at breaking point and cannot sustain so high a number of residences. The city' s services are already unable to cope. An already struggling population cannot continue to suffer, being unable to access health and other services.

Why it was rejected
It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
