What the petition asks
We want the Government to implement legal reforms to protect customers, drivers and other members of the public, and increase oversight and accountability of food delivery companies.
We want the Government to:
1. Implement a legal requirement for all food delivery riders to complete certified safety training and undergo a DBS check.
2. Establish a new body to oversee compliance and conduct periodic reviews.
3. Mandate that food delivery companies provide comprehensive insurance for their riders that covers accidents, injuries, company and rider liability while the food delivery service is in process
4. Ban account sharing.
