Regulate dog groomers & set a qualification standard

What the petition asks
Dog groomers should be regulated and legislation put in place to help better protect dogs and their owners. Also a minimum standard of qualification be made, plus the requirement to have insurance in place.
Currently dog groomers are an unregulated industry. They are able to operate without insurance or qualifications. There are no minimum requirements. Qualified groomers could work towards a groomer charter mark.
Dogs can be maimed or die at dog groomers. This needs to be stopped and the industry needs to be regulated.
