Give carers of disabled children a right to workplace adjustments
Closed

What the petition asks
Currently employers do not have to go so far as to make reasonable adjustments, such as changing an employee's working hours, to accommodate the needs of their disabled dependant. The rights of a carer are not protected as robustly as those of a disabled person.
We think this situation puts millions of families at risk of financial hardship, represents a huge loss of skills from the workplace and increases further the burden on the welfare state.
