LET ME DRIVE - Change the insurance policy from the drivers to the actual car

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Why in England do you have to insure the person and not the car? Why are there so many of us who could drive but can't afford to add themselves to their parents' insurance? Please change the law so once the car is insured, all the house hold can drive it and make life so much easier for everyone!!!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about what car insurance products to offer are a matter for individual insurers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
