Do not remove Benefits from those deemed fit to work

What the petition asks
We urge the UK Government to not to go ahead with a policy of removing welfare benefits from individuals deemed fit for work but who have not accepted job offers after 12 months. I think this would increase poverty, inequality, and unfairly harm the most vulnerable people.
I think that not going ahead with the removal of benefits for is essential to protect those already facing hardship. It upholds principles of compassion and social justice, could help prevent harm to physical and mental health, and avoids widening inequality. Additionally, I think it promotes social cohesion, stability, and long-term economic well-being while encouraging alternative solutions to support individuals in finding employment.
