Fund improved care and support for individuals with FASD

Closed 214 signatures

What the petition asks

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a disability affecting both children and adults, but there is a lack of awareness among healthcare professionals and the public. Consequently, individuals with FASD can struggle to access appropriate care and support services.
We urge the Government to increase funding that goes towards improving care and support for individuals with FASD by:

1. Increasing funding for research into effective interventions and treatments
2. Funding the development of comprehensive training programs for healthcare professionals on how best to diagnose and treat individuals with FASD
3. Providing increased resources for families caring for loved ones with FASD
4. Funding public awareness activities about the risks associated with alcohol consumption during pregnancy

We believe it is time that the Government takes action on this critical issue affecting so many lives across our country. We urge it to act swiftly in implementing these changes so that individuals affected by FASD can receive the care they need.
