Be allowed to freely take your child on holiday in term time without penalties.

What the petition asks
Abolish the fines and penalties including handing out criminal records for taking our own children out of school during term time.
Children can learn and experience just as much if not more on a holiday with family than they do from a short period in a class room.
The cost to take a family away out of term time is so high (almost 3-4 times the amount) that it makes it a luxury most families can not afford.
This can also do a lot of good for the mental health of the children (and parents) as they experience new languages, cultures, food, socialising and an array of other experiences.
