What the petition asks

Make all crimes that involve a weapon or where an individual is caught carrying a weapon an instant prison term not just some pathetic order as it is deterring no one! If they carry a weapon they intend to harm! strong terms for all 10 years just for carrying, life for using, killing, wounding

Because the current punishments are NOT strong enough!! Too many people are dying especially of knife crimes! Stop and search as soon as a weapon is found automatic prison term regardless if first offence!! Stop letting people get away with killing people just because prisons are over crowded! People have no fear and can see how easy it is to get away with these crimes! You carry a weapon on you, you intend to harm!
