What the petition asks

For the government to provide the go ahead for the construction of a third access road off of Canvey Island to ease traffic congestion and enhance connectivity to and from the island.
To improving the quality of life for our residents and reduce the amount of traffic to enable the reduction of our carbon footprint.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
