New debate and referendum on the UK voting system.

What the petition asks
We the undersigned, want a new debate on the current voting system, and request another referendum so the U.K. people can choose which voting system they believe best suits their interests. Proportional representation is the only fair way of ensuring democracy in this country is upheld.
In the 2024 general election Reform U.K. gained 14% of the overall vote, which made them the third biggest party by vote share, yet the party only gained 5 seats in parliament, compared to The Liberal Democrat’s 72 seats on a lesser percentage of the vote.
The Labour Party do not have a clear mandate to govern.
The first past the post system has become un-democratic and does not allow for a true representation of what the U.K. people want.
