What the petition asks

Home owners should have more rights to defend their property in the event of a burglary. Burglars know home owners can't defend themselves without risking getting in trouble and this is one big reason why they do it.

I think it would reduce the crime rate of burglaries massively all over the country if they knew that home owners could legally defend themselves without getting in to trouble. This would also reduce the stress on local police forces throughout the country who are constantly chasing thieves around towns trying to puzzle together evidence.
