What the petition asks
Allow those with nationality of the following countries: Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia, to travel to or transit through the UK without needing a visa. The nationals of these countries can already travel without a visa in the Schengen area.
We believe allowing nationals of these countries in the Balkans to travel to the UK without a visa could:
- Contribute to improving the image of the UK in these countries as an open and welcoming country.
- Improve the implementation of the Soft Power approach at which we believe the UK is a leader.
- Contribute to the UK economy through increased numbers of tourists.
- Help reduce illegal crossings through the channel.
