Strengthen suitable environment criteria for dogs under animal welfare act

What the petition asks
We would like the Government to update the code of practice for the welfare of dogs with stronger criteria set for a suitable environment for dogs, including temperature based shelter and no tethering/caging which restrict a dog's movement.
Sufficient exercise given for general wellbeing and access to water with adequate food given daily also.
At present, we believe the animal welfare act is not strong enough, and that current legislation and guidance are insufficient in preventing the ongoing suffering of dogs.
