Petition
Decline all calls for a general election
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
To reject all calls for a general election and to carry out the mandate issued by the electorate on 4 July 2024. Furthermore, to carryout this mandate for as long as practically possible up to a full 5 year term.
To call a general election within a year is an abuse of the democratic process and a waste of public money. When the people voted in July 2024 they did so for a Labour Government to serve for a full term.
