Petition
Increase education about our political system in compulsory schooling.

What the petition asks
Educate young people on baseline understanding of the political system within their years in compulsory education. This means FPTP, the impact of recent political decisions, how our politicians are restricted etc, and how we can engage in democracy, even without voting.
Too many young people misunderstand our political system, and therefore are unable to independently analyse policies put forward by parties, leading them to be easily manipulated by the media. Educate them and allow people to make informed choices, and increase security of democracy.
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
Education about politics is already in the national curriculum and is a key part of citizenship education at school.
