Petition

USA are creating DOGE. Department of Govt’ Efficiency. The U.K. needs one too

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

I’d like a debate about the need for a department of Government efficiency (DOGE) run by independent people with business experience without influence from civil servants, reporting to the relevant Government minister in a manner transparent with the U.K. public.
It is the view that billions of pounds of Tax payers receipts are wasted in inefficient expenditure or through supporting low priority initiatives that the public may not support. The needs in the U.K. outweigh the needs abroad and priority should be on those U.K. needs. The aim is to identify and save billions in inefficiencies, which could then be used in
more effective ways
