Require pubs and food and drink businesses to have dog free areas

What the petition asks
Make it law for premises to have clearly marked areas for people to enjoy food or drink separately from areas where dogs are allowed.
Whilst I am a dog lover, I do appreciate that many people do not love dogs or are uncomfortable around them.
Some individuals with special needs can be especially nervous around dogs.
Dogs can be unpredictable and often noisy and unfortunately some dog owners accept this behaviour as normal and acceptable. Some dogs may also be dirty or smelly or carry ticks. Some people are allergic to dogs. We think the introduction of dog free zones could allow individuals to have a choice, rather than having to treat some establishments as no go zones.
