What the petition asks
Means test MP’s and Ministers claiming for heating, lighting and food in their second homes.
Change the rules so that MP’s and Ministers do not automatically receive payment for Heating, lighting or food on second houses, they should be means tested for these expenses and paid for by them from their salary.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
