Petition

Make second home fuel payments for MP’s meana tested.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

Only allow claims for second home fuel allowance for those MP’s that actually need to claim not those who are considerably wealthy.
This would seem ethical and in line with pensioners fuel allowance being means tested. The second home allowances were designed for when MP’s did not receive large incomes, This is no longer the case in many circumstances and should be reviewed in line with modern society to ensure the payment is ethically correct.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
