Require a licence for prostitution

What the petition asks
By making it so a licence is needed for prostitution, we think it would mean that more vulnerable people, such as underage people, people on drugs or people with mental health issues could be stopped from being prostitutes.
Prostitution is currently legal in the UK which we think means people who are more vulnerable could be at risk and that it is more likely for young people to be putting themselves in danger.
By making it so that people require a licence for prostitution and have to show they meet certain criteria designed to protect vulnerable people. We think it would mean that people may be less likely to choose this and therefore are not in danger, protecting those who are in need of protecting.
