Petition
Prevent the postponing of the local elections currently planned for May 2025.

What the petition asks
Proposals to cancel local elections for the first time since World War II are anti-democratic and should be prevented. Proposals to review local democracy can still go ahead alongside these elections so they should not be cancelled. It would be a very dangerous precedent.
Parliament must deny current Labour proposals to cancel elections because that would be undemocratic and a sinister precedent.
