Petition

Prevent parts of the high peak becoming part of Greater Manchester.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Recently there has been talk of parts of the High Peak becoming part of Greater Manchester. We live in Derbyshire, not Manchester. We do not want to become part of Greater Manchester!
Greater Manchester will be the demise of the area’s in question such as Hadfield and Glossop. Our crime rates will increase, our house prices will fall drastically, and we do not want to be part of GM whatsoever. We are happy as Derbyshire. Leave us alone!

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
