Petition
Fair Tax for Education: Opt-Out of Public School Tax for choosing Private School
Rejected
9 signatures
What the petition asks
Remove VAT from School fees or refund the tax for people with children not using public education as they are now contributing 20% in VAT.
The Government allocates 10.2% of taxpayers' money to public education. However, families who choose to send their children to private schools do not benefit from the tax they contribute. It is only fair that these families should have the option to receive a refund for the portion of their taxes allocated to public education, as they are not utilizing these services.
