What the petition asks
Introduce measures addressing longevity and repair of products, including:
- requiring companies to provide repair manuals and spare parts
- requiring manufacturers to consider longevity in product design
- encouraging companies to promote sustainable consumption

I think it will help tackle 'planned obsolescence', the practice of designing products to become obsolete or non-functional after a certain period, which in my view often leads to higher consumer spending and environmental waste.
I would like to see measures to encourage durable, repairable products, promoting sustainable consumption, holding corporations to account for manufacturing practices.
I think ending planned obsolescence will promote a more eco-friendly and consumer-centric market.
