Petition

Allow communities in England and Wales to use beavers for flood management

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Beavers, the greatest watercourse engineers on the planet, can help communities to slow the flow of water across river catchments, thereby protecting them from flooding, at very low cost. Beavers increase water storage protecting against drought, increase biodiversity and improve water quality.
For more evidence of the benefits of beavers to communities in tackling the climate and nature crises, please see the River Otter Beaver Trial Science and Evidence Report available here:- https://www.devonwildlifetrust.org/what-we-do/our-projects/river-otter-beaver-trial
