Petition

Mandatory special needs training for all staff in schools

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Help make it mandatory that all staff in schools (working with or around special needs children) are educated to at least a level 3 in Autism/ADHD and mental health.
Staff in schools are struggling, not because of the lack of staff, but because of the lack of understanding! With the amount of resources and extra knowledge around special needs now, including all “very easy” to access courses (for free) they shouldn’t be struggling with it! The more they’re aware of how to deal with or de-escalate a situation the better it would be, not only for the children, but for the staff too.
