Amend the Health and Safety Act to make mental health training mandatory

Closed 544 signatures

What the petition asks

We urge the Government to amend the Health and Safety Act to require all workplaces to provide mandatory mental health awareness training, to ensure that mental health is given the same priority as physical health and safety, helping to create healthier and more productive work environments.
We believe this would lead to:

Improved Employee Well-being: A proactive approach to mental health can reduce stress, anxiety, and burnout.
Economic Gains: Supporting mental health can lower absenteeism and presenteeism, saving businesses money.
Equal Priority: Mental health training would ensure mental health is treated with the same seriousness as fire safety and other physical health risks.
