What the petition asks
Ensure that our 2025 elections go ahead as planned so that residents in Kent and Medway can vote for councillors who represent us to carry out the reorganisation of local government.
These elections will not be delayed. KCC will no longer exist so the elections are effectively being cancelled.
This is undemocratic and leaves current councillors in power beyond their legal term of office.
We want councillors that we have chosen to negotiate the dramatic restructuring of local government, which is being pushed through far too quickly and without public consultation and we want our democratic right to vote!
