Petition
Deploy specialist officers in mobile phone theft hot spot areas.
Rejected

What the petition asks
Parliament should pass a law to deploy specialist officers in areas such as Oxford Street and make example of thieves robbing phones in the streets.
This persistent theft of mobile phones across London is causing distress amongst citizens. It is giving a very bad name to London internationally. We are a laughing stock for global investors and tourists when it comes to law and order. This is affecting the decisions of investors globally.
Why it was rejected
It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
