Remove the 20-Hour Per Week Work Limit for International Students in the UK

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

The current cap on part-time work hours places undue financial strain on many students. This restriction limits their ability to support themselves in skyrocketing cost of living. We call on the UK Government to remove the 20-hour per week work limit for international students during term time.
International students contribute significantly to the UK's economy, culture, and academic institutions. Removing this cap would:
1. Provide international students with greater financial independence and focus on their studies without worrying about cost of living.
2. Address workforce shortages in key sectors, where part-time roles are often available.
3. Strengthen the UK's position as a top destination for international students by offering more flexible opportunities.
