Require companies to provide information about supply chains for all products

What the petition asks
In order to avoid counterfeits and support consumer choice, we believe the government should introduce requirements to publish all supply chain information so that consumers know which countries and companies are involved in making a product which they are looking to buy.
This supports the public in voting with their wallets.
We are concerned many companies could be taking fulfilment without verifying authenticity.
Companies can buy parts from companies or countries which a consumer may be boycotting, and we believe the consumer does not have sufficient information to establish the origin of the parts in the final product. Consumers should be aware if countries with low safety, environmental and quality standards and poor human rights records are involved in the manufacture of their products.
