What the petition asks
Similar to a blue disabled badge, provide all parents with a parent and child badge to park in the appropriate spaces. The badge would be due to expire on the child’s 12th birthday, as proven by birth certificate.
Many parents find themselves having to park in regular spaces which makes it difficult to get car seats & children out of the car. Parent and child spaces aren’t taken seriously, with many people either throwing in a blue badge or no badge at all. Just using the spaces to be closer to the shops or to stop their car getting damaged.
Many parents have been caught in difficult positions of not being able to get their children in/out of cars because of a lack of respect for parent & child spaces.

Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
