What the petition asks
In light of the devastating impact these sanctions have had on the civilian population, I urge the UK government to reconsider its stance and take decisive action to lift the sanctions immediately . The people of Syria are suffering immensely, with access to food, medical care.
The humanitarian need is undeniable. disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations, including children and the elderly. By lifting or modifying these sanctions, we can facilitate the flow of vital aid and support the rebuilding of communities ravaged by years of conflict.
We must prioritize human dignity and the right to life above all else. It is our moral obligation to ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches those in desperate need.
