Strengthen consumer protections on new build homes

What the petition asks
Consumer protections should be strengthened by requiring developers to:
1) Meet stricter quality control standards before sale.
2) Refund 10% of the home's value if it falls below a set standard
3) Cover the cost of alternative accommodation if buyers are not happy.

We believe the standards of housebuilding might only get worse with the government wanting more houses built each year. We feel these companies are not providing new homeowners of a standard of quality they assume they are paying for.
