Petition

Restore UK Foreign Aid budget commitments

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK government has recently announced its plans to reduce the international aid budget from 0.5% to 0.3% of GDP. This after the reduction from 0.7% we had previously committed to. I want our nation to take its responsibilities seriously and to support those in desperate need around the world.
General Lord Dannatt, former head the British Army says this:

"We are not only stealing from the world’s poorest and most vulnerable, but we are also stealing from British taxpayers by investing in a policy that will ultimately cost us more. "
