Fund research for ketamine treatment for chronic pain

What the petition asks
Some studies show that ketamine therapy, delivered over consecutive days is effective at treating chronic pain. We believe that treating chronic pain patients with analgesic drugs, including opioids, is not best available practice, particularly for intractable & severe cases lasting several years.
We want the Government to commission the studies needed to provide evidence for the validity of this form of treatment, such that the NHS can thereafter be compelled to provide this therapy, after a suitable review has been carried out.
We believe that current treatment protocols are too costly to the NHS and could be more effective.
