Petition
Recognise topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) as a medical condition.

What the petition asks
We urge Parliament to officially recognize Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) as a medical condition, ensure mandatory warnings on topical steroid prescriptions, fund research into safer eczema treatments, and provide medical training and support services for TSW sufferers.
Thousands suffer from TSW misdiagnosis, experiencing severe withdrawal, pain, and disability. Patients are not warned about the risks, and doctors lack training to recognize TSW. Without recognition, sufferers are dismissed. Official recognition would lead to better treatment, research, and patient support.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government is not responsible for determining what constitutes a medical condition.
Diagnosis and treatment of patients is a matter for the NHS and individual clinicians.
